Museum of forestry, hunting and fishing

This mansion was built by the architect P. I. Bayer in Baroque style between 1708 and 1713. At the time it was used mainly for organising hunts and hunting celebrations of the nobility. The hunting museum was established here in 1842, at that time, extensive collections of hunting trophies and taxidermy were gathered here. The museum is situated on the edge of the Munický pond, very close to the Zoo Ohrada and belongs among the oldest hunting museums at all. 


Forestry
- exhibition on the forest life, forest cultivation and development of timber production and transport.
Gamekeeping - the exhibition maps the development of Czech gamekeeping, it features a collection of historical  cutting weapons and firearms.
Fishing - the exhibition documents the development of fisheries and the South Bohemian fish farming.


The National Museum of Agriculture Ohrada regularly organizes short term exhibitions and offers supporting and educational programmes for schools.
It organizes events for the public, the most popular of which are the National hunting celebrations, taking place in June.
