St. John of Nepomuk Church

The fundamental building block of the church was laid in 1845 and since the construction progressed very quickly,the bells were hung no later than on the 2nd September 1846 and the following day, they were ringing for the first time. Cardinal Friedrich of Schwarzenberg  carried out a ceremonial consecration of the church on the 16th May and since then the  midsummer pilgrimage has been celebrated in Hluboká.
